Is Easter a good time to visit Ibiza?

We know the answer to that: Yes! The Easter holidays mark the start of the season for many restaurants and beach clubs and many events and plans start to dot the calendar. Also, many direct flights from Spain and Europe start running at Easter, which makes it easier to get to the island. Read more if you’d fancy a trip to Ibiza. Traditionally, during the Easter period, most shops and restaurants open their doors after the winter break. Hostal La Torres is open all year round so there are no changes for us these days because we're ready at all times to welcome our guests.

This year, Easter is from 25th March to 1st April, and a year ago the thermometers read a maximum average temperature of 20ºC (68ºF). If we check the island’s records on rain we’ll find little rain during this month so, if we trust the statistics, Easter should be sunny and pleasant. But you do have to be pretty brave to swim in the sea: the water is usually about 16ºC (61ºF) late March.

what to do in ibiza at easter

The activity and events calendar on the island is quite busy, from traditional religious processions (especially on Good Friday through the streets of Dalt Vila, in Ibiza) to special parties organized by some beach clubs, including White Eivissa and Nassau Beach. Or the rock concert of Sant Pepe Rock, an event with national bands that will take place on 31st March this year. Also, during those days, San Antonio will come to life with the Ruta de la Sal boat race.

Apart from the events calendar, you will also be able to visit Ibiza through its many hiking routes, ride a mountain bike and explore inland villages, ride a Vespa to wind your way through its valleys, discover the most traditional restaurants, visit the Necropolis of Puig des Molins (the most important of its kind in the west Mediterranean), enjoy a picnic on the beach, visit the street market of Las Dalias, watch the sunset from Hostal La Torre…
